It's 2026! I didn't dare use a snowy photo as there has been very little snow in the valley this winter. However, this photo by Donna Lasater captures this 2025/2026 winter season perfectly.

And February means we start to turn the corner out of winter and shake off those short days as we begin to see the promise of spring's arrival. And here are some of the events that you won't want to miss:

Restaurant Month
February is Restaurant Month in WW
Participating restaurants offer a prix-fixe dinner for a set price. New this year, wineries have joined in and are offering bites to enjoy with their wine.

Check out the list provided by Visit WW.

Attention Sellers:
If this is the year that you are thinking of selling your property — listen up. I'm putting this out to my readership as I have buyers looking for specific types of properties here in Walla Walla. These are folks who are leaving the west side and choosing to make their home here.

Currently seeking:
1) Mid-Century home on a decent-sized lot — a quarter acre or larger. Their requirements are quite specific: single level, built in the 1950–1960s with good bones, preferably on a quiet street. They are willing to fix it up, so if you are thinking of selling and/or know a neighbor who has a home like this, please give me a call.

2) An updated home on acreage for a medical professional moving here with a family. A shop would be a big plus!

Buyers are always welcome:
As always, if you are thinking of buying in our valley on either side of Stateline—or visiting and find yourself thinking “I could live in Walla Walla!”—let’s have a deeper conversation about what living here might look like for you.

New Blog Article: A recent Union-Bulletin article details population trends in Walla Walla and how it can impact our valley. Unfortunately, it will be behind a paywall unless you are a subscriber.

Until we meet in person, search for your next home here!

Coffee is always on me!

Regards, Michele
