There are some places that, on arrival, you instantly feel at home—Walla Walla felt that way from my first visit in 2001. More than a decade later, my husband and I know that we have found the good life here in Walla Walla.

On that first visit, I was working for Ste. Michelle Wine Estates in Woodinville, Washington as Direct-to-Consumer Marketing Manager for their Washington and California wineries. However, once they built Northstar Winery in Walla Walla, I knew that I had to live here.

Since then, my career has transitioned naturally into becoming a winery and wine tourism consultant, wine marketing educator and innkeeper. Owning a vineyard inn here in Walla Walla for more than a decade, helped me hone the valuable skills of customer service, communications, marketing and problem-solving.

Becoming a real estate broker in 2014 was a natural evolution of my career path. And as a real estate professional, I enjoy using my expertise and deep love for Walla Walla to assist my clients in finding their new home or the perfect property to launch their business. I wasn't looking for anything grandiose, but a role would need to give me an opportunity to make an impact. To do this, I was obligated to obtain first, the necessary credentials, i.e. my managing broker designation and second, to find a model for a changing industry that fit my personality. I have found that with wunderkind eXp Realty.

When you start a new venture, you have the terrific opportunity to define the values that your organization will be guided by. I love this image as it sums up what I will work hard to accomplish and add empowered and community-minded to this list.

So what is blue & vine group? It is the accumulation of my life here in Walla Walla. Blue, of course, represents the Blue Mountains. Vine, for the industry that brought me to our valley and has undeniably shaped modern day Walla Walla.

Walla Walla is my heart home! This is the place I have been able to put my personal, professional and civic life together. Since Edward and I arrived more than a decade ago, my career and interests have merged and evolved to where I now realize that my journey was taking me towards real estate. My mother owned a real estate firm in Canada, so maybe it was inevitable.

As I build my company, I will continue to focus primarily on residential real estate along with wine properties and lodging as these tie directly into my experience.

While blue & vine group started as a solo endeavor, in 2020, I added three other broker agents. Teaching and mentoring these agents will fulfill another personal goal.

The beauty of being where I am in life, is that I can now give myself the freedom to explore other interests that complement real estate. And as I am a consummate Gemini, it may not be just one thing.

I truly believe that the most-rewarding real estate is organic - the natural outcome of living one’s life to the fullest, pursuing interests and engaging with terrific and inspiring people.
