Downtown Living - from Victorian to Craftsman to Urban Condos

Walla Walla's downtown core, with its historic and vibrant Main Street, tree-lined neighborhoods and proximity to Whitman College, lends itself to a quality of life that includes being able to walk to parks, restaurants and events.

While living downtown may not be an option in many cities, it can be an attractive aspect to living in a smaller city such as Walla Walla. The neighborhoods near Whitman College are tree-lined and offer a wide variety of homes styles - some renovated, others waiting for your touch to make it personal.  Being able to walk downtown for restaurants, tasting rooms and cultural events or to Pioneer Park, will help put the dreaded city commute in a past memory.

Planned Neighborhoods

Walla Walla has a number of planned communities, many developed over the last 10-15 years giving buyers a choice of newer homes with modern conveniences. Planned neighborhoods remove the risk of divergent home styles and vastly differing ages of homes and most have sidewalks, street lighting and other amenities that provide a cohesive look to the neighborhood. In general, these communities maintain their value and in recent years, have appreciated in value.

These communities are terrific for buyers looking for newer homes with modern conveniences as well as they may offer other amenities such as walking trails and planned green spaces.

These communities are generally managed by a HOA (Home Owners Association) and each community has a different structure of annual fees and restrictions for their residents.

Prices range from the low 200s to $800K and have historically appreciated in value. Please consult with me for an updated look on how specific neighborhoods have appreciated.

In addition to planned communities, Walla Walla has two master communities, detailed below.
